The Platform has been running regularly since October 2012 and has quickly established itself as an opportunity to discover, develop and explore new short plays and monologues for audiences as well as creatives. Since starting The Platform the BRTC has also gone on to produce full scale 5 star reviewed productions of Miss Julie and Low Level Panic. As the original project that triggered the eventual launch of The Bread & Roses Theatre it now takes place twice per year and usually sells out, so make sure to book your tickets

- The Visitor by Sally Sheringham, directed by Nikhil Vyas, with Rebecca Pryle & Connor Mills
- Watertight by Laura Harper, Littlewing Theatre Company, directed by Mark Johnson, with Patricia Hitchcock & Sarah Wenban
- Sex Education written & directed by Cressida Peever, with Benjamin Barraclough & Charlotte Forster
- Come Die with Me written & directed by Vicki Connerty, with Nigel Langley, Gina Gangar & Linn Johansso

Ticket purchases are non refundable. Concession prices apply to students; under 18s; pensioners; those on disability and unemployment benefits; Equity, BECTU & SDUK members; Portico Places cardholders. ​As a young venue we are still upgrading and developing the space, any additional donations are much appreciated and will be used towards improving the theatre even further and keeping the venue going in the long-term.
