The Bread & Roses Theatre invites all theatre-makers to a free Meet & Greet and Networking Event. Only three and a half years old, the venue has established its place on the London fringe theatre scene, received awards, launched their own award and support schemes for playwrights and theatre-makers as well as supported over 300 theatre companies and seen 35,000 audience members through the doors for over 1,000 performances. Whilst The Bread & Roses Theatre and pub are separate businesses and we rent the space from the pub and receive no money from any bar sales, we are still offering the theatre without any hire fees and companies get a straight forward box office split, without deposits or reserves.
The theatre keeps on growing and developing, constantly gaining new audiences, upgrading the technical equipment and increasing its outreach and coverage in the press and media (including online, newspapers, radio and television). It offers diverse programming slots from one night up to three week runs, late-night and matinée options and also considers co- and associate productions.
With some staff changes (tba shortly) ahead we invite all theatre-makers to meet Founding Directors Rebecca Pryle and Tessa Hart, as well as new team members. Come and find out about the venue's journey so far as well as plans for the future. Chat to the directors about putting forward a proposal and producing a show at The Bread & Roses Theatre. Hear what the venue can offer and find out what we are looking for from companies applying to use the space. There will also be an opportunity on the night to view the space, equipment and facilities available.
