Playwriting Opportunities
We run the monthly Bread & Roses Playwrights Circle, a friendly and supportive group in which playwrights can share their work and work-in-progress, as well as a biennial Playwriting Award for full-length plays and a biannual scratch night The Platform for short plays. We also publish selected plays from our theatre programme.
We are thrilled that so many writers are keen to send us their scripts and we run regular competitions and opportunities for writers, so please check the respective pages to see if we currently accept any scripts. Our call-outs usually receive hundreds of submissions, so please be aware that not being selected by no means should discourage you from applying for future opportunities! We can unfortunately not accept unsolicited scripts outside of any submission windows.
