‘The Passion of the Playboy Riots highlights the role that the Abbey Theatre in Dublin played during the years surrounding the Easter Rising of 1916 and the origins of the IRA.  The play is based on the published writings of WB Yeats and Lady Gregory, the founders of the Irish Literary Theatre and Patrick Pearse, a school teacher and the first leader of the rising to face the firing squad’.

Tickets: £10 online / £12 on the door
Running time: 60 minutes

Ticket purchases are non refundable. Concession prices apply to students; under 18s; pensioners; those on disability and unemployment benefits; Equity, BECTU & SDUK members; Portico Places cardholders. ​As a young venue we are still upgrading and developing the space, any additional donations are much appreciated and will be used towards improving the theatre even further and keeping the venue going in the long-term.
