Green Curtain Theatre presents
London Irish Play Festival
Following the sell-out of “Traitors, Cads and Cowards” in 2016, Green Curtain Theatre are delighted to be staging plays from their second London Irish Play Festival at the Bread and Roses again.
"Mosely Must Fall" by Martin McNamara is the story of some Irish Dockers who went to the aid of their Jewish neighbours as Oswald Mosely and his fascists marched into the East End in 1936. In our second play: "What's the story?" by Maureen Alcorn we learn of the wartime exploits of two young Irish woman who came to London in 1940 to nurse. Our finally play "The Tragic Carmody" a play by London Irish artist Brian Whelan, details the trials and tribulations of convincing the art world that your community has something important to say. All this will lead up to our St Patrick's night special on Saturday March 17th 2018. We will publish the full dates and times shortly so keep your eye on this space.
